Welcome to St George's School Windsor Castle
- Co-educational day and boarding prep school in Windsor, Berkshire
- Ages 3-13

“St George’s School Windsor Castle is a gem of a school and a truly wonderful environment for children to learn and grow. Built on the happiness of each child, kindness lies at the very heart of our St George’s community.
Originally founded in 1348 to educate the choristers of St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, the school is steeped in history and heritage and we are proudly one of the oldest prep schools in the country, yet offer a future-focused, world class, contemporary education for our students from Kindergarten right up to the age of 13 years. We continue to educate the choristers today as part of our thriving student body of 300 day and boarding children.
Our school community benefits from the best of all worlds, surrounded by the most beautiful grounds, woodlands and expansive playing fields in a unique setting, whilst also having the advantages of a town centre in walking distance. We prepare our students for the future and embed a genuine love of learning for life at our school.
Personal success, intellectual challenge, and academic excellence are important at St George’s. We foster creativity, curiosity, independence, and build self-confidence in every child through our enriching and rigorous skills-based curriculum, where our students gain skills for life, ahead of their entrance to a wide range of leading schools across the UK.
Joining together with St George’s Ascot to create an excellent through school from early years to sixth form provides continuity and opens up enriching new opportunities for our pupils and staff, while preserving our rich history and the very special nature, values and vision of both schools.
As part of STAEG, we benefit from the strength, stability and shared expertise of a wider group, including investing in our people, increasing our provision and securing the future of the school.”
